Chorus
This is the way it's supposed to be
flippin the flows, when we're spittin on the M I C
ever since the first time we heard a fat beat
Squigedy boombap rap is comin back as we speak yo
This is the way it's supposed to be
flippin the flows, when we're spittin on the M I C
ever since the first time we heard a fat beat
Squigedy boombap rap is comin back as we speak
verse 1 Samoerai
it really all began at the age of 13
a young kid was lookin for a way to live his dreams
Boombap bumpin through my speakers, but needless
to say Hip-Hop was a daily routine
I wanted to make it, become a superstar when I was older
mom started askin questions so what I told her
was this, Listen, I really feel the rhythym
it goes automatically without me takin a decission
So I will, swim the oceans and climb the hills
come up on top and remain the king in my field
One day I'll pay the bills jumpin up on stage and display my skillz
sign a record deal on my own label
feel that raw vibe, stuck inside my verse
since the first moment I picked up a mic and rehearsed
my thirst for rap is large, larger by the minute
I'm in it, to bring the oldschool back and represent it
like a menace yo and keep on rockin joints until I'm finished
and hiphop's a livin art again for all of yall to witness
hitlist filled with tracks that bounce hard
the sickness, professors searchin raps of mine for glitches
I maneuver smoother than most can do
cuz I'm a true renewer of the flow and grooves
Like thiss, i had to show you people how I judge it
my judgement, but now I'm about to pass it to my cuzzin
verse 2 JaJa
thanx man, let me grab the mic and explain
from where we came, and the way we be playin this game
cuz it's a shame how the fame rearanged all those things
that made it what it was before it went up in flames
now everybody these days thinks it's real easy
what we do on a stage and how we became the team we
formed way back in the days, when we were cheesy
still walking our ways to discover the real meaning
why we lived our lives the way we all lived it
twisted, in the mind cuz we all spliffed it
Untill the day arrived we realised we're all gifted
but shit kid, we had much to do to get it lifted
up a notch or two, make an old nineties brew
with beats and rhymes that blast you too
that classic mood, where everybody was just laidback and cool
let's just chill like we all fucking used to do
it's that commercialism, that's holdin ya mind in a prison,
don't fight back, but like Rakim "let the rythm hit 'em"
reminisce and don't forget them
old school times where everybody's spittin' funky rhymes
like Oh yes, ain't that fresh,
everybody knows we get down like this
but oooh crap, they fucking up rap,
and everybody seems to get down like that yo
Chorus
This is the way it's supposed to be
flippin the flows, when we're spittin on the M I C
ever since the first time we heard a fat beat
Squigedy boombap rap is comin back as we speak yo
This is the way it's supposed to be
flippin the flows, when we're spittin on the M I C

|
|
||
Chorus
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
Verse 1 Samoerai
we bring the funk to your town when we're takin it back
to them oldschool days when the flavour was fat
Craig Mack, Kool G Rap, and Will Smith
Big Daddy Kane was on some ill shit
feel this yall kickin it the way it should be done
havin fun, chillin and enjoying the sun
cuz me and my man are always smoking some blunts
and we write shit together cuz we're both into funk
the perfect team, u heard of these
two mc's known cuz they murder beats
wow yo, hit em with a freaky freaky flow
easy come, easy go, better act like ya know
fo sho rip the show get dough n black out
we went 100 percent n passed out
we're the men that makes ya head bump
so jump to the funk, smoke and get drunk
Chorus
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
Cause You are, The funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, The funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
Verse 2 JaJa
may I lay it down for ya'll once again
Jayeness, the crew, is steppin down in the ring
this rap shit gotta move a fucking class up kid
So we have to change it drastic like a drag queen did
you agree what we see on tv is just weak
and you wanne be with the mc's that gone change the beat
back too the oldschool days, back to the real rythym
back to the ways it was played you can say I trully feel him
then ya'll, down with us and we're ready to bust
straight out of the dust here come 2 mc's that are dangerous
but where not like RnB singers aiming for the lust
off the naive population in the world around us
we try it in an other way, cuz in the end we came to say
to bring back the vibe of the funk, in any kind of way
So if you wanna fall in a superier mindstate,
you got to clear ya mind of exterier rhyme rape
Chorus
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest
cuz you are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and we are, the funkiest, the funkiest
and everybody is, the funkieeeeeest

Bump ya heads
04:16
|
|
||
Chorus
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Verse 1 Samoerai
now listen to my style, I've been doin it for a while
I've been bumpin to this shit, since I was a juvenile
a ruthless child, havin too much energy inside of me
so I released it all, in raps I wrote silently
OOOOOH, I loooose, myself into this groove
took me a while to come up with the type of shit that I produce
passion, we dig the samples your lackin
we chop em up, have u lookin badly at rappin
take it back to when it was about beingthe hardest
artist on the scene, representin for the team
smokin green, yellin at all rappers I'd see
"U need no walk like a duck if u wanna be an mc"
so I'm blastin, Rhymeskillz, more than u can handle
my rhymes are the light, for more than a thousand candles
it's classic, massive shit we introduce
Jayeness, if u like it play this shit and if you do then
Chorus
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Verse 2 JaJa
now everybody follow me, come to see, I'm gonna be
throwing these, lyricly sofisticated flows in me
out on the mic, ya'll, might find it tight, so
We gotta rock a lot of motherfuckers to the side bro
cuz they don't get it, don't sweat it, we represent tha
oldschool boombap funk shit, so enter
the cypher to master ya skillz and decipher
the big difference between an mc and any writer
we don't wanne do it, like alot done did it
yeah, we in it, just to feel the vibe and flow with it
no commercial hype kid, wipe it out ya mind shiit
just admit a little bit we spit it more precise with
boombap beats blazin straight thru ya head son
even if we do it for less than a breadcrumb
we stand strong, and we support the real ones
Jayeness, yes, we keep on rockin thru ya eardrums
Chorus
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Verse 3 Samoerai
I'm livin proof yo, and I do show
you my crew is in the mood for a true flow
givin you everything you need like a new home for hiphop to live in
and a tombstone for all the wack shit you be gettin
we're done with it, they only last for one minute
while our legacy will forever be on ya memory lik Pun did it
you wanna test us, then come get it
Jayeness will pull it of, like panties on drunk bitches
we don't hang with the crap, We're Boombap to the bone
ask the fans at our shows, if we stand on our own
if we rap about dough, if we brag about clothes
if you ever think you act like you know
you better come and check us rip a cypher after the show
come see us searchin all night, for a sample that's dope
we put our life and love in it, cuz we're passionate souls
master our goals, till we see the rhymes is out of control
Chorus
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Verse 4 JaJa
Now did you get it, you got it? well then good
cuz most rappers, are misunderstood
ya'll don't listen to the lyrics, only listen to the groove
if you don't hear what we are spittin, then what are we suposed to do
bust a move or two, make an old nineties brew, who?
is ready to meet a brand new oldschool crew
the return of the boombap that we once knew
back with that smooth rap is how we bump you
always talk about the hood, always talk about what should
be done, but most of ya'll run from a problem
we solve em, Jayeness, King D and Robin
we ain't stoppin, till we get ya asses back vibin
so aaaight then, I think you understand that the right men,
for that job are hard to find but you finaly found them
standing, right in front of you with a mic
and if you're likin what ya hear then you got to
Chorus
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads (WHAT), Bump ya Heads C'mon
Bump ya heads if you hear the bass groove

Back 2 the Basics

|
||
Verse 1 JaJa & Samoerai
back in action without stoppin, Jayeness is about to get it poppin
so we rhyme then, the plot's to win the hearts when we drop in
you better be noddin your head to this you really got no option
cuz we're flippin that phat funk the whole night and
throwin it down like that, we comin equiped to show you what has happened lately
cuz maybe our faith be too show you that it's crazy
that them other groups really aint suplying what is needed
while we breath with it, sleep with it, always keep the heat in it
steppin it up a notch becuz where far from intermediate
steppin it up a.. (yo!) there aint no need for us repeatin it
'Nope', I know, so get it back in action bro
we've been abscent for so long that they got used to wack flows
so here we go again, 2 true mc's to the bone my friend
only when we're open to lose, we know we'll always win
but it all depends so let us go up in
this kinda flow and show all them how we do this thing
born in the eighties, raised in the nineties
listenin to that rugged and rough shit that drives me
never liked school then, but placed it al behind me
I tought I knew it all untill the day I turned nineteen
yeah, all those years passed me by very quickly
but I learned to stop wasting time if it tempts me
that's why we came back to flip the track in a hurry
cuz ya'll needed to see why we were bussy
improvin the style, now are we tellin people truth or a lie
is Jayeness the next thing it's up for you to decide
so for the first time in a long while, GO WILD
Jayeness is back together and we go all out
cuz we're microphone snatchers, you know what we're after
rhymin on stage together with beats that blast ya
the inglorious basterds of this rap shit, back with
that classic oldschool magic on our tracks kid
Chorus
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again from out the basement
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again from out the basement
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again
Verse 2 JaJa
now are you ready for this, cuz now we're about to go
to flipper that phat funk the whole fucking night yo
we bringin it so real that you be asking what's the deal
with these wack ass mc's cuz now ya'll finaly feel
How it could, should be, now, would be, done,
If you just let us show you now what's all going wrong
just Start lookin around you, start booking the right group
chasin that fuckin cash, yeah that's all what they just might do
so let's bring us back to that oldschool rap
without goldgetters, bullshitters fucking up the track
we snap em by the neck, cuz we don't get down like that
we already killed them all by the very first hi-hat
them oldschool drumrolls and newschool mofo's
don't get along on a song so don't try it yo
you better diggedy diggedy diggedy drop the mic
and start to diggedy diggedy diggedy dig the crates right
I educate your mindz to prepare for a fight
cuz getting out of that mindgame ain't easy aaait
you gotta go and and make a better show, stop talking about that dough
start to work on a better flow, but I don't know
If ya'll ready for this cuz everybody needs to grow
physically and mentally you got to be prepared for this bro
preparations are in progress, it's time to set our goal, yes,
"King" David, Jayeness we're bringin that raw shit
Verse 3 Samoerai
I don't know if you noticed but the rhythym we drop is focused,
all-containin like a lotus, we're not spittin no biggedy bogus
who'se the dopest? you better start acting like you know it
cuz that wiggedy wiggedy wack shit that you bringin we gon smoke it
ferocious, diggedydrop a flow that so contagious
it will stick throughout the ages and we're kickin it with the majors
not the minors, flippin some pages that contain the rhymes
that will blow ya mind, it's Jiggedyjayennes in their prime
we're takin a moment to shine, we never be gettin enough of that shit
on that oldschool boombap funk we reminisce aaaaaaaaaight,
makin some noize and wreckin it rough n correct
takin a blunt to the head, lyrically, we're summin it up on the set
so why don't you bump... This, we're nothin but punk kids
havin a blunt lit, makin the drum fit, droppin some funk shit
riggedyrock the mic like we were all supposed to do
but it's only, the chosen few, that's bringin it oldschool
and you know who's lookin to take it back even more
Samoeriggedyrai and Jiggedy Jah are back at the source
the fundamentalz, always stay in touch with our roots
we never give up the fight, we stay in the ring, and do what we should do
Represent that Hip-Hop, that made us wanna go do it
real music, I wanna bet, you dont know nothin about this movement
that we're into while we're groovin, kickin the flave you adore
takin it back to 94, while we're raisin the bar
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again from out the basement
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again from out the basement
Back to the Basics, yeah kid face it
Oldschool is comin back again

Get on up
03:34
|
|
||
Chorus
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
so hey, we didn't just come out today to play
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
so hey, we came to rock the microphone all day
Verse 1 JaJa & Samoerai
I drop a phat gem for ya mind don't ya see
we're bringin it back to when it wasn't all about the cream
cash rules everthing around me, it seems
that they only care about sellin cd's while we
are wreckin the beats more often than you really could imagine
makin it happen, snatch ya props away like Jason Statham
seperatin us from Hip-Hop, we wouldn't function
like splittin an atom, it could lead to nothin but destruction
don't beam me up scotty, but be ready to beam me down,
straight to the underground to that mighty sound
from back in the days, yo, where rappin was great
no fake ass mc's with nothin to say though
Hip-Hop is a form of self-education
a stoned mind can't be freed by a mason
so that's why we do try to help by explainin
battle for ya dreams like Freddy versus Jason
face it, guess who comes crawlin out the shadows of the basement
to reenlight ya mind with some statements
oldschool arrangements, 808 drums got ya shakin
ya body goes up n down, no hessitation
but I feel, like we're the only one's not chasin a deal
yall made hiphop suffer, but we're here to heal
now did I really say that, oh yes, I did
I'm done shutting the fuck up, it's time to bring the real
Hip, Hip, Hip-Hop back,
Chorus
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
so hey, we didn't just come out today to play
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
so hey, we came to rock the microphone all day
Verse 2 JaJa & Samoerai
cuz when we bump this, funky, original stuff see
we just wanne know if yall loved it, but it must be
cuz we kicked it, flipped it, off and we ripped it,
don't ya think kid, man don't ya love to hear that funk shit
it is, survival of the fittest in these days
we regulate the flow in a million different ways
Jayeness, we came, we saw and we conquered
props from real boombap fans at our concerts
so blow the trumpet while we stomp in cuz it's somethin
royal and bumpin, original funk and
fully filled loungs man ready to blaze the drum in the track
back so react with your heads to that nooow...
"so you all warmed up?" yeaaah man, I'm ready
ready like Machete, kickin ass so hold steady
I wanne go and throw a mighty ass flow up to show ya
who's the number one, now, who's the number one rhyme flower
we gon make ya mind blow up
we're livin it up, we gon show you how them rhymes go nuts
not givin a fuck, toy with stories to get high and buzz
lightyears away out into space to smoke the nicest dutch
I'm just chillin, illin, but I don't need penicilline
when I'm spillin verbs over the verse I'm straight killin
willin and able to rip a track, fully enabled to bring it back
to the days, were rap was still a craft so
Chorus
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
but hey, we didn't just come out today to play
get on up, get on down, listen to the sound
of the oldschool bumpin through ya town
a phat phat jam that be headin out ya way
so hey, we came to rock the microphone all day

First love

Verse 1 Samoerai
Once upon a rhyme, a while ago
me and some other kids decided to write some flows
so I would go to my grandma, borrow the casettedeck
rap over nas beats without any headset
or mic, pushin two button's at the same time
breath, and while the beat began I would say rhymes
like, 'all I need is one mic, and one chance
Imma grab it with both hands and change the circumstance'
we began as Phatmark, collective
performed all over and sincerly got respected
"breath it in, breath it out" everbody sang out loud
response from many people made us feel proud
of our shit, I was hit since the beginning
when I discoverd snoop and dre and nothin but a g thang was missin
in my life, xzibit gave me word on paparazzi
way before I knew about the measures of the golden mean
and the true meaning of the numeral sequence of fibonaci
I was listening to biggie screaming: can't nobody stop me
but we had to have some beats of our own
internet wasn't providin the uniqueness we hoped
So, diggin in the crates was the next and final answer
kept diggin, till we found the gold that we were after
funk, soul, a bumpin bass, trumpets
punchy kicks and breaks to have the whole room jumpin
we started workin harder on tracks, wrote for ages
never really happy with results so we replaced em
over and over and over suddenly we came with
this crazy concept to take it Back to the Basics
Jayeness, finally created, developed
we tweaked the beats and we had our rhymes a bit embellished
I fell in love with Hip-Hop, it's carying a message
u will know if u will listen to the story that I'm tellin
Chorus
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first love, it will be my last ya
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first, and it will be my last
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first love, it will be my last ya
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first, and it will be my last
Verse 2 JaJa
here's a little story that I got to tell
about 2 young mc's and how they both felt
on the day we all remember, it sparked that bit of tinder
that would make the fire in our hearts lite up forever
but come see an mc and how it started off for me
way back when I was just a little teen with little dreams
had lot's of rhythym and loved the whole music scene
that's why I didn't really listen to it lyrically
it seemed to be alright, one night I even tried
to copy the beat, I started to beatbox despite
of the fact I had no clue it existed I might
had my first contact with my true path in life
then one day, my sister, took me to the library
made me open my eyes and made me see more clearly
then she took something, placed it in my hands
and it looked like a weird cover made by a clan called the wu-tang
36 chambers made me a true fan,
digging deeper and deeper hearing how those beats bang
lyrics with messages made by, rhymin sentences
in a way a man could only, try to express his shit
and people would listen to it, listen to the fluent
rhymes no doubt, everybody felt love at first sight
I felt it too, so I tried to write, the flow was tight
it felt right, so I did it the whole damn night
but never outloud, cuz it felt like stage fright
then I had to change from school and met this dude like
I had to meet him, cuz see him standin here right now
next to me, and we teamed up, cuz we like eachother's style
If you have listened to his words then you will, know how
we became what we are today, and know now
we fell in love we hiphop, it's carying a message
you will know if you will listen to the story that we're tellin
Chorus
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first love, it will be my last ya
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first, and it will be my last
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first love, it will be my last ya
like this ya, like that ya
Hip-Hop was my first, and it will be my last

Raw relics (Bonus track)
03:49
|
|
||
Verse 1 JaJa
straight out the cellar we be comin to set ya'll free
from the land of the dumb, deaf and those who don't see
the reality this actually, never gonna be
the same as it was but then again I am an MC
so I'm doin what I gotta do and rap about the misery
this Hip-Hop scene, is goin through, but I guarantee
this shit is gonna turn back to that, funky rhythym
fuck the system, we'll teach the youth through lyricism
from time to time we fall down to the ground
to learn how to pick us up again and fight another round
with that funky sound is how we came back
but we never left the underground and that's a fact
ask around, look it up, now who's Phatmark
mostly active after night cuz we stay dark
with that sound, boombap, we be comin back
on that rap attack snap the back of ya shirt and slap
some sense into you, now what you wanne do
you wanne pick it up again, you wanne move on too
then wake up, wake up, wake up from the dream
reality is hard to find so it seems
the bigger the truth, yo, the harder the slap
so what did ya feel when ya heard that new track
of ya favorite artist, flippin some bars with
a techno kinda dj fucking up the real art kid
Verse 2 Samoerai
it's awful, garbage, is that what they accomplish
with their million dollar studio's and hair styling products
be honest, c'mon man wssup with that
we don't fall for none of those tricks, we bring the ruckus brack
we got ya slammin, you be throwin hands up in the air
cuz we bringin you what you demandin
underground, run around with ya pants saggin
and if you don't feel it then get of the bandwaggon
Jayeness was predestined to bring it back to the essence
look to the past n take the best of it back to the present
it's the way we put sylables strapped in a sentence
got the instrumental soundin like a track made in heaven
and King D is on my side "K I, K I N G"
yeah he flips the needle right on time
and Jiggedy J is standin next to me to back my rhymes
so there's no way you'll ever stop this team in time
we're ahead of it, buncha predators up in they're element
hazardous with the mic device slicin up all competitors
respect to all the veterans that kept it real
and didn't sell out their soul, just to get a record deal
how does it feel listenin to what we're bringin
Hip-Hop is runnin through my vains I'm not kiddin
Phatmark is determined to stay oldschool with the rhythym
cuz my home is where my heart is, and movin is forbidden
